James T. Spelman, M.A., Founder, Executive Director
Jim Spelman became a Special Education teacher in 1976 and has worked with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders
continuously since 1969. He is a vendorized Behavior Specialist, a professional musician and an IT support person.
Susan Taylor, Secretary / Treasurer
Sue Taylor has been a Special Education teacher since 1984 and is the Director of the Adult Program of the Morgan Autism Center, one of the oldest and most highly regarded educational facilities for Autism Spectrum Disorders in California.
Joseph Cannon, Founding Director
In addition to being the former goalkeeper for the Major League Soccer San Jose Earthquakes, a member of the United States National Team, two-time MLS All Star and 2002 and 2004 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year, Joe Cannon has been a volunteer at IPSTP since 1999. He maintains a very close relationship with many of our clients and they were regular attendees whenever he played in San José. While with the Earthquakes, Joe was named MLS Humanitarian of the Year for his work with our students.
